This is the front cover and content page for my College magazine. I used the colour black on the front cover because it is a lot of red in the picture. The page numbers on the content page are red so that the colours from the front cover continues on to the content page.

Interview with Emma M

Emma M made a grate success during her time in the X-factor. With her unique voice and great personality the people loved her and voted her to the final where she got second place after Gabrielle. A year after the final we talk to her about her life after the competition, her success and her Christmas plans.

What did X-factor mean to you?

It is because of X-factor I have my carrier. It was a helping hand and gave my carrier a kick-start. I wouldn’t have come this far this quick without X-factor.

What is the biggest difference between your life before and after X-factor?

I must have to say the biggest difference is that people recognises me. That people shout my name when they see me on the street. Another big difference is that people have opinions on what I wear and what I do. But I have to look at the bright side. If people did not recognise me I wouldn’t have my carrier.

What are you working on right now? Any new songs coming soon?

Right now I’m working on some new songs for my second album. We don’t have a date jet but hopefully I will have an album ready before end of summer next year. It is a lot of work that remains and since I’m a perfectionist it takes a lot of time.

When is your next tour?

I go on tour with my first album in February 2012. I really look forward to it because it’s my first tour alone. The last tour I was on was the X-factor tour with all the other contestants and that is really different from going on tour alone. Now it’s all up to me and my music.

You are now number two on the hit lists with your first single “on my own”, how does it feel?

It’s a dream come true. It feels amazing. As an artist one of your goals is to come on the hit lists because that means people like you music and that’s the main thing. You can’t make it as an artist if people don’t like you music.

What type of music do you listen to?

I listen to different types of music. It depends on my mode really. But I have some genres I never listen to like hard rock and metal, that’s to heavy for me.

Who is you favourite artist?

Hmm, that’s a hard one. I don’t have one favourite artist. As I said, I listen to different types of music depending on which mode I’m in so that means I also listen to different artists depending on the mode I’m in. But at the moment I listen a lot to Adele, Coldplay, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

Last but not least. Christmas is coming up and we have to ask, what are you plans?

Work (ha-ha)! No, this Christmas I’m spending in Liverpool with my family. It will be nice to have a normal Christmas with all the family traditions and the hole family together. It’s hard to get the family together now because everyone are so busy so Christmas is a great time to get the family together and to spend some quality time with all of them.

The one I am going to use is front cover number 2, content page number 1 and D.P.S number 2. I chose front cover number 2 because I want one artist on the front cover. since it is a hit list magazine it is some things I have to have in the magazine every month like that month's hit list. therefore I chose content page number 1. I chose D.P.S number 2 because it is clean, not to much text or pictures.

Results on questionnaire

This is my questionnaire and the answers I got. I posted it on facebook, different Norwegian blogs and on some artist blogs I found on the internet. I think where I posted it reflects the answers I got. Because I didn't post the survey on particular websites to hit my target group and because I posted it on my facebook page I think a lot of the people answering my survey don't belong to my target group. If I had thought more about where to post it I think the result would be different. Even though there are some things i could have done different with my survey I got som usefull information out of it. I got confirmed that music plays a big part of most people everyday life. I also got confirmed that people listen to different genres of music. This means that I have to represent different types of music in my magazine. This was my plan from the beginning; To make a magazine that represent new artists and that represent the hitlists. My target group is going to be teenagers between 15 and 18. I want to make a magazine that me and my friends would want to read, but also that younger people would want to read.Most of the people that answered my survey are students, this means that I can't overprice the magazine because it have to fit in a student budget. The questionnaire also told me that most people discover new music through their friends. People also checked of the box that said they never read music magazines. I therefor haveto come up with a idea to make my magazine special so that the people that don't usualy read music magazines, will read mine.
